A Great Book

This is a great book. It explains the construction and function of hybrids and other alternative fueled vehicles. It starts by familiarizing you with different types of fuels such as methane and ethanol. Then it gets into the systems that are unique to hybrid vehicles like regenerative braking and idle stop mode. It is a very detailed book and gives information on servicing these systems in a safe and effective manner. It's a good resource for any technician that needs to know how to service cars that are part of this growing, and possibly temporary trend in the automotive industry. With direct fuel injection advancing as much as it is, I don't think that hybrids are gonna get any better gas mileage than regular vehicles in the future.
