About the Author
Margo Hayes began breeding Australian Lowline & Ausline cattle in 1996. She has exhibited over 50 Grand Championships at numerous shows as well as twice winning Grand Champion Carcase at the Royal Brisbane Show. A past President of the Lowline Cattle Association, and current President of the Ausline Cattle Association, Margo has judged cattle nationally and internationally.

Grassfed beef is the way to go.

The book is very helpful to "newbies" as well as "veterans" of the cattle business. We've just started with our Lowlines and they are wonderful. The book has helped us prioritize some things and getting the pastures in good condition is at the top of the list. With good pastures comes good beef.
Mrs. Hayes has written in terms that anyone can understand. The language is concise and the book is an enjoyable read. Understanding some of the Aussie terms she used was a fun challenge at times, but once I had them Americanized I had no problems understanding what she was talking about.
Thanks for a good solid book about Lowline facts and good pasture management.

Be aware that references to laws and regulations apply to Austria. Otherwise a good start for us novices. It is easy to read and will organized.

great read for the small land holder

As a first time small land owner researching small breeds in Australia, I found this book very useful. There are not many books for the Australian market online so this was one of the best references I have purchased
