Far Too Tempting, by Lauren Blakely

Jane Black has written the breakup album of the century, earning her a Grammy, a huge legion of new fans, and the pressure to repeat her success. Sure, the heartbreak from her husband's unconventional abandonment might have been her inspiration, but it hasn't done her any favors in the dating department. So when Matthew Harrigan, the toughest music journalist out there, asks for an interview, Jane agrees--as long as her personal life is completely off-limits. British, gorgeous, and way too tempting, Matthew's the first guy Jane's been attracted to since her husband. As she spends more time with him and their relationship heats up, though, so does her writer's block. How can the queen of the breakup pen the perfect follow-up when she's seriously in love?

Review
"Blakely's latest work is fun, steamy and delightfully different, and her characters are charming, well-rounded and instantly sympathetic. But the power of her story lies in the writing. Blakely's ability to create scenes, emotions and moments makes this book simply compelling. It's impossible not to fall utterly in love with the humor and passion between her tempting, talented hero and remarkably resilient heroine. New readers and longtime fans: Don't miss this newest success." 4 1/2 stars from Romantic Times Reviews

"The sparks between these two characters are so explosive you better have three fire extinguishers on hand. This man can turn anything into an innuendo and make you blush." - Give Me Books

"Sometimes a story can capture you so completely that it allows the world around you to dissolves while you escape into its pages simply provides you with the perfect balance of everything you love. That was Far Too Tempting for me...Beautifully written and the characters were sexy and lovable." - Totally Booked Blog

From the Inside Flap
"It's a shame it's not June," Matthew says, and we both stop to look up at the wintry sky, the color of slate. Gloom-filled clouds have claimed the once-blue real estate. "Because it would be warm and wonderful and we could wear shorts and tank tops?"He rakes me over with his blue eyes, lingering on my chest in a way that would bug me if he were a random guy on the street, but that instead heats my body given that he's not. "Tank tops are a big yes. That, and summer fruit," he adds. "I love coming here in June and July. They have the most amazing peaches. Honey-kissed peaches," he says, as if he enjoys the way those words take shape on his tongue as he's looking at me. My chest feels hot, and I bite my lip absently, barely even aware I'm doing it. But he picks up on my signals, the cues that my body's giving off. He leans closer and brings his mouth to my ear, his breath warm against my skin, sending shivers through me. "Isn't that a great description for peaches?"I sway slightly, and he steadies me with a hand on my elbow. There's a table full of bread behind me that I may topple into if he keeps doing this. "You need to stop talking to me about fruit as if it's foreplay," I say breathily."I do?" he asks, far too innocently to be believed."Yes. You do.""Why?""Because," I say in a jagged whisper."Because why?""Because it makes me want more."

Fabulous!

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC for an honest review. And honestly, this may be Lauren Blakely's best yet!

Far Too Tempting tells the story of Jane Black, a Grammy winning singer, for new artist. She wrote her debut album Crushed, after her husband and father of her son, left her because he was gay. She gets through her heartbreak by writing songs that reflect her desire to get through this tough time.

Matthew Harrigan is music reviewer who wants to do a series of interviews with Jane to get the true story of her music. The British hottie (!) then becomes more than friends to Jane and they embark on a lovely romance.

But there is something very special about Jane and Matthew's love story. It's not just the typical love story. Lauren takes the time to explain the intricacies of the music business, which I absolutely loved, gave the complete back story to Jane's hit album and what inspired it and even told us a bit about our eminently lickable rock journalist's background as a Baron! Not to mention all the incredible songs and artists featured throughtout. This book has it all.

Even though there is such attention to detail, I never felt bogged down by it. The book flows seamlessly, had the right about of angst but overall it was the passion these two feel for each other that kept me completely captivated. Talk about tingles down below, holy moly, Matthew and Jane's sex scenes were smoking hot!!

I can't recommend this book enough...you will not be disappointed!

Severe Author Crush

There's something magical when you start a book that you've been dying to read. I've become a huge fan of Lauren Blakely and am making my way through all of her books as quick as I can. So of course the logical thing to do when you receive an email from the fabulous KP Simmon at Ink Slinger asking you to sign up for a Lauren Blakely tour, you sign up and pray you get in! Totally got it! Totally LOVED this book. It might be my favorite from Lauren Blakely, seriously hands down. Why you ask? I'll tell you why with the most vague answers because I don't want to give too much away.

So we all have gone through breaks ups right? We all have those certain songs that are made for breakups, for when we are angry, happy, and in love. Not to mention the party songs, but we can lump those in with the happy songs. Jane Black was a singer/song writer that hasn't caught a break, until now. Writing an epic breakup album that lands her in the spot she always dreamed of, but what happens after this epic album? Is she destined to only write break up ballads or can she find inspiration in something else? A reporter, Matthew Harrigan, wants to run a story on her. A behind the scenes story of Jane's musical process. He wants in her life in every way, but is it just because of his job?

This is why I love this book so much. I'm a huge fan of music, absolutely love music, and I totally fell in love with all of these characters. They each have their own quirkiness, but come together to forge something amazing. Jane's sister and brother are amazing. The fact that Owen, Jane's brother, is also her producer is amazeballs! I mean how cool would it be to sit in a studio and make magic happen with your brother? Totally would love that. Then there's Jane's sister Natalie, love her. She always has the best interest at heart. Then there's Ethan, love this kid, he reminds me of my munchkins.

But of course everything can't be perfect, how else would Jane be able to make a break up album? She was married to Aidan for quite a while and well obviously things didn't work out. Her album Crushed brought her to front and center. Now the big question... what do you write about next? Cue Matthew Harrigan. Maybe Jane just needed to feel something more than heartbreak to make her muse come alive... but does it? Matthew and Jane get close by working together on his interview, their attraction is off the charts.

"This feels so unreal, but yet here he is- wanting to kiss me. I would go into shock if I weren't completely tingling all over."

After so many years of not feeling wanted it's amazing to feel it. The way someone looks at you and desires you. The way you can't stop thinking about someone without getting flushed. The attraction and need are ever present with these two, there's no denying that. But what I really love about the way Lauren Blakely presented this story, is the way Jane falls in love again. How she struggles with the idea of it and when the realization hits, its too far gone for anything to change it. But it's not just on Jane's side. It's the way it all unfolds to come together. How trust is placed and tested. How every little moment leads up to a bigger one. Obviously I love this book, there's no denying that and if I gave star ratings I would totally give this book 10 stars. You have to pick this up and read it if you haven't.

Hello Matthew Harrigan!
By C. Halford
Originally given 4.5 hearts at Rookie Romance.

I'm not entirely sure how I managed this...but this is the first of Lauren Blakely's books that I've read! I have a few of her book on my kindle, but I've not read them yet. That's going to change very soon, because I really enjoyed this!

Jane is so grounded, she's a mother, a friend, a sister...and just so happens to be a pretty huge rock star! Music is her life blood, and her break up album is the first time she's had real success in the music world. Her success comes with a price though- the breakdown of her marriage. So she's been burned and is filled with insecurities when it comes to men, but she just needs the right guy....
Enter Matthew Harrigan, a music journalist who makes Jane feel like a sexy, desirable woman again. I loved that he tried to restrain himself, and stay professional but he just can't resist her. He's such a gentleman, and he's got a great sense of humour. He's kind of the perfect man, and he's a fellow Englishman. And if that isn't enough, he's titled as well!

Jane and Matthew have the kind of chemistry you always hope will be in a book, it's sexy and passionate. But it's also incredibly intimate, and I loved watching their relationship develop. When Jane opens her heart up, and allows herself to trust Matthew, I was just so darned happy for them!
Jane's friends and family were brilliant, as well. They are what keep her so down to earth, and Ethan was the cutest book kid ever! I loved his card games, and HP obsession.

Far Too Tempting has all the ingredients for a perfect romance- a searing hot sexual chemistry, a sweet romance, and great, likable characters. Not to mention that Lauren Blakely's writing has a witty humour throughout that perfectly balances the pain and mistrust that Jane still struggles to move past. Really, really great, and I can't wait to finally get started on the rest of Ms. Blakely's books!

*I received an ARC from the publisher for my honest review. Thank you!

    From Publishers Weekly
This hefty volume reminds vacationers that hot tourist spots are small percentage of what's worth seeing out there. A quick sampling: Venice's Cipriani Hotel; California's Monterey Peninsula; the Lewis and Clark Trail in Oregon; the Great Wall of China; Robert Louis Stevenson's home in Western Samoa; and the Alhambra in Andalusia, Spain. Veteran travel guide writer Schultz divides the book geographically, presenting a little less than a page on each location. Each entry lists exactly where to find the spot (e.g. Moorea is located "12 miles/19 km northwest of Tahiti; 10 minutes by air, 1 hour by boat") and when to go (e.g., if you want to check out The Complete Fly Fisher hotel in Montana, "May and Sept.-Oct. offer productive angling in a solitary setting"). This is an excellent resource for the intrepid traveler.

A great book for hotel lovers
    By Sung Kim
This is my first review of a book for Amazon. I just had to write this to tell the truth about this book.
For a person who loves to travel, I just had to purchase this book to see what places I need to go to and review places I have been to.
According to the author, I missed a lot of places because I was too busy to vistit all the recommended 5 star hotels. For an example, Torres Del Paine, Chile is one of the most beautiful nature wonder of the world with its glaciers, lakes, peaks, and majestic views. Instead of writing this, the author decide to descibe in detail about the over-priced hotel in the park.
    Author consistently writes about:
    1. Hotel, hotel, and more hotels. Not just any hotel, but the most expensive accomodation in town.
    2. Hotels, of course. I have not counted, but I can guess about 250 places to see are hotels.
If you like hotels, this is a book for you, otherwise look elsewhere.

    Not bad ... for a to-do list
    By Eric J. Lyman
I was prepared to really dislike this book, if for no other reason than because it takes one of my passions -- travel -- and reduces it to a kind of grocery list. Travel, I have always thought, is about experiencing a different culture and its history and not about checking the most important cathedral or museum in a city off a to-do list.
But I must admit this small-but-thick book intrigued me. Most of the criticisms of something like this will be of specific choices the author makes: How could she overlook X? Or what was she thinking when she included Y? And while I admit that I scratched my head at a few curious omissions and chuckled at some of the choices that did make the cut, I must say that overall, the selection is very good. Every traveler or would-be traveler will find selections of interest on its pages, whether they are looking for luxury or natural beauty or history or art or culinary masterpieces or thought-provoking journeys.
But I think the real strength of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die is author Patricia Schultz' lively writing. Ms. Schultz has a real gift for description, and her love and enthusiasm for the places she writes about at once manage to excite the reader about the place being described and to give him or her a small taste of it before even diverting the eyes from the page.
All that said, I would be disappointed to scan someone else's copy of this book and see places that have been already visited crossed off in red ink or to discover that future trips were being planned to maximize the number of the 1,000 places that can be visited in a short time. I don't think the book should be used like that, but rather as a means to provoke thought and conversation regarding the best of what the world has to offer us by giving us the views held by one person (albeit someone who is extremely well traveled and with unusual writing talent). We'll all come up with our own lists in our heads, lists that may or may not overlap with the contents of this book. And that's something worth being passionate about.

A great choice for the traveling grandpa
    By George Kingfish
If grandma and grandpa are getting bored in retirement, this is a fantastic book to buy them. If *you* are looking to explore the world, consider a Lonely Planet or guide better geared at the under-65 crowd.
Certainly people would quibble with my list of 1000 places, but here is why I believe this book is not appropriate for anyone who doesn't get an AARP discount:
    - Euro-american focus. The book is almost insulting in its lack of coverage of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. For instance, there is nothing listed in Delhi except a restaurant vs. nine sites in over-touristed Morocco. There is virtually nothing in places not covered by travel guides, such as Central Asia and almost anywhere in Africa that doesn't have pyramids or characters from "The Lion King." Iraq is the cradle of civilization, but apparently UFOs in Roswell and Disney theme parks are more important. At least Schultz acknowledges the bias, saying that places like Kolkata and Madagascar are "arduous choices."
    - Cultural insensitivity. Schultz's use of the most anglicized names possible and long-replaced colonial monikers (like Calcutta and Laotian for Kolkata and Lao) makes her occasionally sound like Mr. Burns asking for "the Prussian consulate in Siam."
    - Intended for traveler-writers with unlimited budgets. Despite claiming with a straight face that she's "never a travel snob," Schultz typically choses the most expensive way to see a place. I am a travel snob, but sometimes Schultz's recommendations of tours are too outrageous even for me. For instance, Ayuthaya, Thailand, is easily reached by a comfortable air-con first class bus from Bangkok for 95 cents, but Schultz recommends a $390 tour.
    - Questionable rationales. Schultz gives the Toronto Four Seasons an entry because, well, celebrities have stayed there. Never mind that the Toronto Four Seasons is potentially the most shabby, cramped, and run-down property in the chain. I have certainly never seen it on a list of Four Seasons's top properties, and the food was nothing spectacular. Entries like that make me wonder if Schultz is holding back the truly great establishments.

Review
"The book looks amazing! I can't wait to get the inspection copy. It looks very user friendly and complete. and is laid out in a nice order. But the book is riddled with errors
By David and Barbara Ray
This book mirrors the new curriculum well, and is laid out in a nice order. But the book is riddled with errors. There are errors in the main text (for example, one of the trig identities has a typo) and the answer key is often incorrect. What appears to have happened is that there must have been a preliminary text - the online answer key will show a slightly different problem being worked out than the actual book. To get the answer in the back of the book requires seeing the altered problem online. It would have been a great book, but the editors were clearly asleep. Not sure who was supposed to check through all the work, but with that many authors, you would think one of them would have caught the myriad mistakes.

The Day My Brain Exploded: A True Story, by Ashok Rajamani

After a full-throttle brain bleed at the age of twenty-five, Ashok Rajamani, a first-generation Indian American, had to relearn everything: how to eat, how to walk and to speak, even things as basic as his sexual orientation. With humor and insight, he describes the events of that day (his brain exploded just before his brother’s wedding!), as well as the long, difficult recovery period. In the process, he introduces readers to his family—his principal support group, as well as a constant source of frustration and amazement. Irreverent, coruscating, angry, at times shocking, but always revelatory, his memoir takes the reader into unfamiliar territory, much like the experience Alice had when she fell down the rabbit hole. That he lived to tell the story is miraculous; that he tells it with such aplomb is simply remarkable.

More than a decade later he has finally reestablished a productive artistic life for himself, still dealing with the effects of his injury—life-long half-blindness and epilepsy— but forging ahead as a survivor dedicated to helping others who have suffered a similar catastrophe.

From Booklist
More commonly known as strokes, cerebrovascular accidents—or CVAs—are an all-too-frequent occurrence among our nation’s elderly population. About 87 percent of these are ischemic strokes resulting from sudden blood clots in the brain, whereas the other 13 percent are classified as hemorrhagic. This latter type of CVA, where either a blood vessel or arteriovenous malformation (AVM) unexpectedly ruptures, can occur at any age, as former New York public-relations executive Rajamani horrifyingly discovered when he was only 25. In this frank and witty account of his own brain “explosion,” Rajamani describes in vivid detail the circumstances leading to the injury, and its devastating aftermath on both his family and himself, including chronic epilepsy and a freak form of blindness affecting the left side of each eye. With disarming drollery, the author also recounts his racism-tainted upbringing as an Indian American in white-dominated suburban Chicago. Shedding much-needed light on a little-known medical trauma, Rajamani’s sharp-edged prose is both informative and inspiring, especially for the many marginalized sufferers of brain injury and those close to them. --Carl Hays

Review
"In this frank and witty account of his own brain "explosion," Rajamani describes in vivid detail the circumstances leading to the injury, and its devastating aftermath on both his family and himself, including chronic epilepsy and a freak form of blindness affecting the left-side of each eye.  With disarming drollery, the author also recounts his racism-ringed upbringing as an Indian American in white-dominated suburban Chicago. Shedding much-needed light on a little-known medical trauma, Rajamani's sharp-edged prose is both informative and inspiring." - Booklist

"First-time author Rajamani delivers a fascinating look at his life and his recovery as a brain-injury patient that is both heartbreaking and uplifting." - Publisher's Weekly

"...good-humored and self-deprecating...deals with his drama elegantly." - Harper's Magazine

"The Day My Brain Exploded is a memoir of epistemology. Ashok Rajamani shares how a man rebuilds a life of the mind. His prose is at once witty and probing, persistent and clear. If the brain could write an autobiography this would be it." - Stephen Kuusisto, Author of "Planet of the Blind"

"A fierce, funny, fascinating memoir of a man's battle back from a brain injury that damaged his body but resurrected his spirit and the meaning of his life." - Wade Rouse, Author of "At Least in the City Someone Could Hear Me Scream"

Maybe Not a Book to Read for a Caretaker of a Brain Injury Patient
By gail
This is an autobiography. The author suffered from an AVM, which means arteriovenous malformation. This is a congenital defect that occurs to the fetus during the third month of pregnancy. The veins and arteries become tangled in the brain. The person is essentially a ticking time bomb. AVMs often occur during periods of exertion or strain--such as going to the bathroom or giving birth. In the author's case, he was masturbating. One of his last thoughts before he lost consciousness was that they were right about the bad effects of masturbation.

The author, though, tells a bit of his life before the AVM. Sometimes this gets confusing, because he jumps between the past and present. Sometimes you don't understand why he has chosen to tell a particular story. He talks of his early life growing up. His parents were immigrants from India who settled in a primarily Caucasian neighborhood. He, of course, encountered some prejudice. It details the jealousy he had for his more successful brother.

The story also talks about the events that occurred after the AVM and how he had to readjust to a new life. He had to relearn how to walk, eat, etc. The AVM left him blind and gave him epilepsy. He also suffered from what is known as "Alice in Wonderland" syndrome--a condition where a person believes that their body parts are larger than they are supposed to be...or they see other objects or people in a distorted way. Another difficulty was that he didn't seem to truly understand his disabilities--and he tended to misinterpret people's reactions. He often thought they were being prejudiced against him because he was an Indian rather than that they were reacting to his odd behavior or his decreased functionalism.

The book is well written. I chose it because I had a stepfather who suffered from a brain condition. It was not an AVM, but he experienced many of the same things that Rajamani did. In 1991, my stepfather had a brain tumor the size of an orange. They operated on him. The brain tumor was able to disguise itself to look like brain tumor. They didn't wind up removing as much brain tumor as they did brain tissue. When my stepfather emerged, he had the I.Q. of an eight year old. In time, he was able to recover until he had the IQ of a twelve year old.

Rajamani did give me some insight into what my stepfather went through (my stepfather died in 2005). However, I can't really say I enjoyed the book. I was rather shocked when I found myself getting angry at circumstances that were similar to what I had gone through as a caretaker. Ashok Rajamani had many of the annoying traits my stepfather did. It did make me wonder if brain injuries often produce the same personality traits (is it the illness?)...or do certain personality types develop certain conditions?

It was often difficult with my stepfather to separate fact from fiction. When he died, we felt guilty when we realized he had been telling the truth about some things. However, it was difficult. He often thought people who were genuinely trying to help him were trying to hurt him. Therefore, if he did encounter a bad nurse or doctor, we were not always inclined to believe him unless we saw it with our own eyes. To make things more complicated, like the author, my stepfather seemed more functional than he actually was. He maintained a good vocabulary, and so people often thought he understood more than he really did.

Like Rajamani, my stepfather often tended to resent people whose lives were going well. He often thought they didn't deserve it. He felt like it should have been him because he was smarter, he was more talented, and people liked him better. Why this was particularly annoying was that really my stepfather thought more highly of himself than what was true. Even if he hadn't been sick, I doubt he would have been as accomplished as he thought he would have.

My stepfather (like Rajamani) also didn't always behave appropriately, and there were many times I was mortified beyond belief (like the time he commented on how developed physically a thirteen year old neighbor was...which while true, was just totally inappropriate).

So the book brought up a lot of bad memories for me, and that made it difficult for me to enjoy it. If readers are sensitive to bad language or vulgarity, they may have problems with this book. I also thought the ending was rather abrupt. He went from being self-pitying and resentful to suddenly being at peace with the world. I almost had wondered if someone else hadn't written the ending, or else he wrote it a lot later than the rest of the book.

The Big Bang
By Marianne G Petrino-Schaad
Everyone has bad days, but back in 2000, Ashok Rajamani, a young man just coming into his own in the world, had a really bad day. Just before his brother's wedding, he suffered from a brain aneurysm caused by an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). The circulatory knot of arteries and veins, a congenital malformation, had ruptured; the literal ticking time bomb had gone off in spectacular fashion. The good news was that Ashok survived; the bad news was that the person that he had been had died. His account tells of his physical and mental struggles and how he came to an uneasy peace with the realization that he was now Ashok 2.0, a person who suffered from an odd form of blindness, epileptic seizures and visual hallucinations. Written in a conversational tone replete with healthy doses of gallows humor, especially when touching on doctors, and their advice or lack of it, his story is more than just an accounting of a recovery from a serious medical issue. He also examines what makes an individual unique through looking at his relationships and his experiences growing up as an South Indian American in the USA.

I received this book as part of Library Thing's Early Reviewer program.

The cumulative effect of his oft-expressed dislike for Caucasians is bilious and wearing
By Mary M.
I'm having trouble finishing this because of the pedestrian style and the unpleasant personality of the author. He proudly reveals himself as a racist as well as a religious bigot, all the while scolding the people around him for both those defects. His "humor" is of the frat-boy style and generally aimed at others.

I went through cancer surgery, a long hospital stay, and chemotherapy. I had to deal with some really unpleasant nurses aids, but I never blamed that on their color. Rajmani does.

A few pages after bemoaning that his mother cut her long hair after they moved to the USA, he writes that white nurse's aid wears her "grey hair inappropriately long" without a trace of self-awareness. The cumulative effect of his oft-expressed dislike for Caucasians is bilious and wearing.

If you want an interesting and un-sugar-coated story of brain damage and recovery, read "Where is the Mango Princess?" It's better-written, and you don't have to deal with the bile.

Do I need to say a word on this book? .. It is simply the best book ever written for the REVIEW of the seismic design .. I think It is not famous enough because it is purchased directly from the Author who is not doing much marketing for his great work. I totally recommend it .. I am totally in love with this book.

Hybrids: So you think you are human, by Tanis Helliwell

Myths, religions and archeological discoveries around the world discuss the presence of intelligent non-human beings who have interbred with humans creating hybrids. Tanis Helliwell offers convincing evidence about the existence of 22 different human-hybrids (elementals, angels, dolphins, giants, dragons, centaurs, pan and many others). People who discover they are hybrids report feeling more authentically themselves—more energized, powerful and self-loving—as a result of their discovery. AM I A HYBRID? If you answer “yes” to these statements, Hybrids will be of special interest to you: • I often feel I don't fit in • I am hypersensitive to violence • I am deeply committed to helping the Earth • I would describe myself as an independent thinker • I follow my own inner guidance about rightness, even if it goes against the norm As with her ground-breaking work on elementals in the classic “Summer with the Leprechauns”, Tanis is, with Hybrids, once again at the forefront of an entire new genre of investigation.

Review
"I found Tanis Helliwell's book, Hybrids: so you think you are human, rather challenging. Actually, it is good to be challenged, jolted out of our - all too often - fixed and rigid beliefs of life. Read this book . . . and prepare to expand the mind. I am open to the author's very persuasive thesis and the evidence to support her theories. . . Thank you, Tanis, for stretching me further with your provocative book. Just to add to the pleasure, it is very well written and thoroughly enjoyable." -- Michael J. Roads, Author, Through the Eyes of Love; Journeying with Pan trilogy.

"Tanis Helliwell's Hybrids is a provocative, thoughtful exploration of the deeper realms of human consciousness. I really appreciated the psychotherapy skills she brings to the interviews, which are the core of this work. It's a gift that will help some find important answers to the great question... Who am I? It's the strength of the book." --Barry Brailsford, Author, Chronicles of the Stone series

Have you ever felt like you just didn’t quite fit into this world
By Merle
Have you ever felt like you just didn’t quite fit into this world? Do you have special gifts, talents or abilities? Do you feel like you belong more in the water than on land or do you yearn to fly and soar over the valleys and forests? Even the fact that you were attracted to check into this book could mean you may be a hybrid of some kind seeking validation, making sense of things or just knowing you aren’t alone. Aren’t you just a little bit curious? What I loved about this book was not only the detailed description of the various hybrid characteristics but the stories told of people’s own real situations. Being a practical person, I also loved the helpful hints for each hybrid. Go ahead, take a chance and let this book take you into a world you never knew existed, but is very, very real.

Praises to Hybrids, So You Think You are Human
By Sally
Hybrids, So You Think You are Human, as Tanis Helliwell always does with her books, takes you to a new and exciting place to understand your life. If you have ever wondered about why your personality is the way it is, Hybrids will open a new door and give you another perspective on why you are who you are. Tanis Helliwell and Lloyd, her Leprechaun friend, (introduced to us in Summer with the Leprechaun) author this amazing book with the help of personal accounts from people who have learned from Tanis’ Hybrid course, which human-hybrid they feel they are and why, an angel, a dolphin, an elemental, a dragon, or one of 18 others listed in her book. This book is filled with facts and humor and it is sure to become a favorite. Through her writing you can tell Tanis Helliwell is dedicated to helping and guiding individuals to become more of their authentic self. Praises to her new book. Hybrids is a must read!

So we think we are human?
By verena
Tanis' new book Hybrids, So You Think You Are Human gives a whole new outlook on who we are or who we might be. Together with her Leprechaun friend she introduces us to a fascinating world unknown to most of us: elementals, human cousins and star beings. Co-creating Tanis and Lloyd portray these beings in such a lively and down to earth way that it is easy to relate to each one of them.
If you still feel all of this is difficult to accept then reading the reports from the various kinds of hybrids might make it easier. The questionnaire you find at the end of the book might help you find out if it could be possibly be you, too!? And that this might help to explain why you have always felt a bit alien, different, not quite at home here. Or why you are so hypersensitive? Or why your heart bleeds when yet another tree is taken down, or river damned or…. And that we are not alone.
